The channel focuses primarily on mystery movies, Hallmark mystery franchises, and classic detective television. Its lineup includes familiar series such as:

Hallmark Mystery also airs original and library mystery movies, including familiar Hallmark mystery franchises and newer titles. Which Service Is Best for Hallmark?

If Hallmark is your main priority, the choices are pretty straightforward.

Frndly TV is my pick for the lowest price.

Philo is my pick if you want Hallmark plus a much larger collection of entertainment channels.

Fubo or YouTube TV make more sense if you want a complete live-TV replacement with sports, news, local channels, and Hallmark.

What About Hallmark+?

This is where Hallmark can get a little confusing.

Hallmark+ is not the same thing as Hallmark Channel, Hallmark Mystery, and Hallmark Family.

Hallmark+ is Hallmark Media’s standalone subscription streaming service. Instead of primarily giving you the three traditional linear TV networks, it offers an on-demand library of Hallmark movies and series, exclusive originals, and themed streaming channels.

The annual plan works out to about $6.67 per month when paid upfront.

So which should you choose?

Great American Family is probably Hallmark’s closest direct competitor.

Hallmark’s advantage is that it has three established television networks. Hallmark Channel can concentrate on romance and originals, Hallmark Mystery can handle mysteries, and Hallmark Family can focus more heavily on classic and family television.

That gives Hallmark considerably more room to spread out.

Hallmark vs. UPtv

UPtv is another strong alternative for viewers looking for positive, family-friendly television.
